I have been working with Jillian for a little over 2 years now.

 Aside from the personalized workouts, the most important aspect of personal training for me is the accountability that comes with it.  I am not good with holding myself accountable, so if I want to succeed at something, I tell Jillian because I know that she will follow up on everything we talk about!

 My gym sessions are the favorite part of my day… The workouts are challenging but I leave feeling accomplished. I love lifting and recently deadlifted 200lbs, this seemed impossible to me when we first started!

When I first decided to workout with a personal trainer, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Jillian immediately made me feel at ease and asked me about my fitness goals. Since that first day she has been customizing workouts specifically designed to help me achieve my goals and I am amazed at how far I’ve come! Not only is each workout carefully planned and individualized, but Jillian also takes my personality and motivational style into account so that she can work with me effectively. She invites feedback and works hard to ensure I get the most out of every session. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient and encouraging. I now understand the benefits of working with a personal trainer and I hope to continue working with Jillian for many years to come.

I absolutely had reservations about starting training. My biggest reservation was being embarrassed about my lack of physical fitness and my lack of knowledge about exercising. I was out of shape and had absolutely no clue what I was doing in the gym. It was really hard to put myself out there, but my first session with Jillian started as a conversation. During this initial conversation, Jillian listened to my concerns and helped me outline my goals. She met me where I was at that moment, but also found ways to challenge me to move out of my comfort zone . Based on our initial conversation, it was clear she has a ton of knowledge and experience and she was able to clearly explain how she could help me reach my goals. She was also patient and kind as I was learning and asking a lot of questions.

I appreciate the common benefits of having a trainer, like having someone to help me stay accountable to my goals and having someone who develops my training plan for me. But I also appreciate the friendship and sense of community that has been built through my work with Jillian - it makes showing up more fun!!

I started personal training in person with Jillian 1.5 years ago. Due to the pandemic, I transitioned to remote training with her in early 2020. Both experiences have been extremely positive and rewarding. Not only is Jillian’s knowledge of training, exercise, physiology and nutrition extensive and solid, but her ability to explain and teach that knowledge is clear, compassionate and fun! She helped me achieve my goals, modifying as needed along the way as I learned to better listen to my body, and understand what I was capable of. One of my goals early on was to hit a 4 min plank hold, and I’m so excited that I’m now nearing a 5 min hold! If you are looking to start personal training, or continue work you are already doing, I highly recommend working with Jillian.

Buddy training sounds like it would be a mess - two people at two different points on their fitness journey, with different quirks and issues, trying to work out at the same time – but Jillian magically makes it work. She manages to be everywhere at once and crafts programming with an endless supply of modifications that meet both of our goals where we are that day. We each leave every session feeling accomplished and compare PRs on the way home! Jillian truly takes the “whole human” approach to her coaching and makes it a point to discuss nutrition, stress levels, sleep, and any feedback on previous workouts each session. We look forward to our gym times every week!

I have been training with Jillian since my office gym closed during the pandemic. I am beyond thrilled with the progress I have made and goals achieved since working with her. Jillian is extremely knowledgeable and expertly tailors workout programs in order to best achieve your current goal. I have done 1:1, buddy training, and small group training with Jillian and have witnessed the way she handled every client differently and adjusts workouts based on the individual. She has helped me work through and recover from various nagging injuries while continuing to make progress and eventually hit my goal of joining the 1000 lb club. I am aware of the stigma some men have about working with a female trainer but Jillian is a shining example of why that has no validity at all. She is just a great trainer, period. She truly cares about everyone that she works with and wants them to reach their goals. Five Stars!
